Just use Ebuddy. It has GTALK, Myspace, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AIM and Facebook all in one app. Works flawlessly.

I am using MEEBO... I hated EBuddy, and really don't like MEEBO that much either. I want an APP similar to the one provided on my old ENV Touch. I like the way it kept everything separate. I hate how all these others show ALL contacts in one list.

Downloaded the AIM client for Droid. When you go to settings it has:
Facebook Chat... Set up your facebook chat settings for AIM. This option is grayed out. Anyone know anything about this?

all the android aim clients are crap...and they are all battery killers.

Google just needs to integrate it into gtalk like in gmail!!

Go to Beta - AIM and choose "Use AIM on the web." Log in, and once you're connected, go ahead and click Connect, and after AIM is connected to Facebook, your Facebook Chat contacts will be added to AIM, and that option will no longer be grayed out.

I've got 2 aim accounts and can't access either. and it's not like I've forgotten my passwords either. I have to guess they've both been hacked.

AOL Instant Messenger for Android now in Market

Works pretty good so far. Has a status icon in the notification bar too.

EDIT: If you go into settings there's a setting for Facebook Chat that's greyed out. I looked into it and sure enough the new version of AIM (7.2.3.10 Beta) integrates Facebook Chat.

EDIT 2: It does sync up with AIM for Android, so there you have it.

I tried this out, however it kept disconnecting me and could never stay signed on. Hi Aim has never disconnected and always will be on.

Maybe they fixed that by now?

Why is there no vibrate option? I can't have this thing making sounds when I am at work.

Hopefully this app won't drain your battery as bad as meebo does.

OK Seriously I have tried all of these and they all performed subpar. I just went to BB 7.5 and tried the stock IM app that comes with that. Got alot of force closes so it's back to square one. If some of these are really working like some of you say they are, I guess I will go through them again and try. I really would like one that doesn't randomly disconnect (and auto-reconnects after phone calls) and also receives IMs reliably.

ebuddy- Like how it organizes the buddy list by account and you can hide offline buddies. i don't like how it disconnects randomly.

meebo- Found it to be very reliable, but it uses way to much battery.

I need to try this one...

I was rather disappointed by this app. Great interface but kinda of useless without proper notifications. Only have a sound notification is not acceptable.

I guess I will stick to text forwarding still and only use the app if I need to send a message. I like handcents autoread/popup anyways, so I don't have to navigate into an app to read my message.
