Well, it seems that Froyo has stopped the ability to use aftermarket batteries in our Droid X's. Is there a fix or any way around this issue?

I know this is the smartass answer, but don't buy cheap fuel for your expensive device.

That said, because I couldn't resist... It is probably hard coded, and if moto was smart, locked into the kernel. Until it is found where that code sits we are out of luck.

Typed with Swype on my Droid X and sent with Tapatalk.

after market battery

I have an after market battery and it works but the Droid doesn't show the battery level and it gives a warning that the battery isn't a Motorola original to change it. I just don't know when the Droid will shut down. It says that it will not charge the battery but I haven't had time to verify this. It says this warning any time I plug in to the computer, car dock or bedside dock.
