after i root my droid 2

    ok so lets say i root my droid 2 which i plan on doing when i leave work. ok so couldnt i technically run the same steps for the recover that i did for my original droid to get recover on it i mean the phone is pretty much the same the only thing is a higher processor same software.

    Nope, different phone. Locked bootloader prevents this, no recovery has been made to flash to a Droid 2 yet.

    interesting so if i were to attempt it what would happen? has anyone tried to do it yet?

    You would effectively brick your Droid 2 as there is also no way to recover your phone (no .sbf files using rsdlite or anything).

    Your phone would no longer work and Verizon/Motorola would void the warranty.

    Nothing (recovery, flashing, roms) that applied to the Droid 1 applies to the Droid 2.

    They look the same but are quite different in terms of user/dev interaction.
