ADW Launcher deleted my contacts

I downloaded the latest ADW Launcher out of the market, and it wiped out all of my contacts. So i uninstalled the application and they're still gone. Has anyone experienced this before with this application. This is the first time I have used it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

your contacts are stored in your google account, ADW shouldn't interact with that at all. Can you login to your gmail account online and see your contacts there?

I didn't have my contacts backing up to my google account unfortunately.

I don't understand how you can not have your contacts in google, that's where the Droid gets the contacts in the first place.

I manually add my contacts on my phone, with phone numbers, and I do not have my google contacts syncing. So the contacts on my phone are only on my phone.

might want to enable that google account sync so you don't loose them again.

What do you mean you didn't have your contacts backed up to your Google account? It's a google phone, how could you not?

You mean to say you are not synched with Google? You had to have been at one time.

Try syncing your Droid to gmail and see if your contacts don't return.

Short of that then try importing your contacts from the SD card. But back them up afterwards in Gmail.
