Advice/info please

I wont make this long blah blah. Love my TB hate the endless issues. Verizon said they will send me a LG Revolution or Samsung....something. Im looking at the Revolution, can you guys offer clifds notes on what you know about that. What is the operating system. Pros/cons you may be aware of against a TB

Im not techy at all, but i feel like they are the same phone in different cases. If they use the same OS (which im not sure they do) wouldnt i run into the same issues?

They kind of are but the LG doesn't have the support that the thunderbolt does, also the thunderbolt has a kickstand, and if either of the 2 devices will ever get ICS it will be the thunderbolt doubtful but possible.
