    Hey all,

only been a droid user for a couple weeks, but really liking the x. I have rooted and have been able to find just about everything I wanted apps-wise, so far for free in the market.

Just curious if anyone has come across a free app to stop the advertising. It's really not a huge deal, but just getting a little annoying. I see ads all day, every day, the sanctuary of my personal device is not where I want to see more.

    Thanks all, and happy 'X'ing'.

    ps. I searched before asking....

Some (all?) ROMs have this built in, I think. If you're not rooted, the only thing I can think of is that you can kinda turn off ads in Dolphin HD...which is a free browser. The ad blocker is a plugin and it is pre-beta. This means that it is a slow piece of junk that barely blocks ads, but at least there's hope. I wouldn't use that dolphin plugin at the moment.

Oh, right, so you don't need to change ROMs. If you just root and use adfree then you're good to go.

Edit: Duh, now I see you said you were rooted in the OP.
