Advertisement (Spyware)

Lately I have been getting notification for this or that in the drop down bar sometimes it's ether star or plus sign. Went to Verizon to replace SIMM card this weekend since was there showed the Tech. The steps he took were removing cookies, turn off Google AdMob Ads in the market (which was already off), clear temp files. This been going on for couples months now here is what I have done.

-Removed apps (Craigslist, K9 Mail, Living Social, Groupon)
-Remove the Market and reinstall it
-Hook the phone to pc pull all data from memory card ran spybot and AVG (Nothing)
-Have installed (AVG, Spy Hunter, CellGuad) Nothing removes the popup ad
-Looked thru the phone which applications are running when this happens nothing pops out saying this might be it
-Went into each application made sure nothing in the settings is turned on.

I have had similar probs, I would get pictures of ads in my gallery, like for vodka, and cars, etc. I deleted the pics since I got the bionic and none have reappeared. Not sure what apps were causing it tho.

All this started after got new phone from Verizon. My other phone which had issue with 3G disappearing never had this issue. I hate do another factory reset. :icon_evil:

Most likely it's a app. Why it just started could be you had a old version of the app on your old phone and never updated it. but new phone downloaded they most resent version

Air Push, get the air push detector @ market it will tell you which app it is sending adverts.

Thanks. With air push scanned two applications qs birthday notification and gps fix. I'll et you know.
