Adding Facebook account failing

Hi,

I'm new to the forum here, could not see a search box anywhere to see if this topic was already posted (did I miss it, I looked all over!

Anyway, I CAN get to Facebook if I click on a link in gmail or on the browser, but when adding the account to put the FB app on my screen, it always fails, even though background data mgr is always on. I'm typing the user name and password correctly (I've tried at least 20 times). So, not that big an issue, I did just mark the Facebook page as a favorite and put the favorite on my desktop, just thought it odd that I cannot add the account / app.

try uninstalling it and reinstalling it from the app store. Also I think there is a conflict with on of the social widgets on my wifes droid x I am trying to fix. We got her logged after having the same problem as you. But she keeps getting an authentication failure after about an hour. And then she has to log back in.
