Adding a POP3 Email Account with Froyo

With 2.1 it was pretty simple to add a pop3 email like Hotmail. I just went to Accounts and Sync, clicked Add Account, and then chose POP3. I'm not sure how to do this when using Froyo. There doesn't appear to be a POP3 option, only an option for adding an Exchange account. Thanks.

Adding POP accounts to the Droid Incredible

It's been a while since the original question was posted, but since there is no answer, I thought I'd help anyone else who landed here with this issue.

In my case, I had already added an Exchange account, and I wanted to add a POP account to my Verizon Droid Incredible. Here are the steps I followed to get to the magical place where you can do this:

1. Open up the screen that lists "All apps"
2. Tap "Mail" (If you already have an account, your mail will be displayed)
3. Press the Menu button
4. Press "More"
5. Select "New account"

Here you can add a POP, APOP or IMAP account. Unfortunately, as of 2/2011 you cannot add an additional Exchange account, which is possible on other Droid phones, damn it! But not the Incredible.
