activation

    Anybody else having problems ,, 2 hours and sim is still activating

    I'm having weird issues as well. When I dial *228 to try to activate it the call just disconnects immediately. My data seems to be working fine and I can make calls but incoming calls are still going to my og droid. I can send and receive texts just fine but people have been reporting the messages they are receiving from me are coming from some strange long number and not from my number. Texts I receive are coming to both my tb and my d1. Sure hope they get this *228 thing figured out soon.

    I went to a Verizon store and everybody was having problems there, as well. I think it was just an overload. Some people were getting through fairly quickly...mine took about an hour--and even longer for the email to sync.

    I'm in NC and I've been on the activation screen since 1pm.. still going.. I was told that it's an issue with verizon's network being overloaded with the release. I've heard as short as 15 minutes for activation though.. Hopefully it finishes soon! I'm getting impatient!!
