According to Cyanogen, FroYo is officially open source.

    It's on his Twitter.

Who else is excited for Bugless Beast FroYo? It's going to FLY now.

    Pete, you rule. Can't wait!

I'd love to see you cook a FroYo ROM before Cyanogen does.

Nice!! I wonder how long it'll take Pete to throw out a new build.

So would I, but I doubt that will happen. Pete's already said that he doesn't compile the ROMs himself. So anything he releases before a source-compiled image comes out would be based on the leaked ROMs we already have.

That being said, the mods he makes are amazingly effective.

    I saw that, too.
I don't have an EVO, but it was confusing anyway because the code hadn't been released yet.
So unless he broadened his horizons and got the code early, he may have meant that it was based on the ROM leaked from the AOSP.

I don't want to talk bad about Pete... I'm running BB 1.1 right now, and love it. I just remember reading a post by him that he doesn't compile (or didn't at the time), so the chances of him getting a source-compiled ROM out first, or even before Cyanogen, are fairly slim.
Frankly, I don't care how he does it. Whatever he does is great.

Does this mean his next Froyo rom will be stable? This is great news. I've reverted back to 1.1 3 times now because of how unstable the froyo roms were.
