accidently replaced menu button with an app

Keep forgetting trash bin is on the top, how do I undo this? Ud2.4 is what I'm using. Until Sunday

Make a shortcut on the homescreen to applications then drag it where you want it on dock

I don't see the option for that, I hit menu, add, shortcut and dpnt see a listing for menu

Long press on the homescreen/custom shortcut/pick your activity/launcher actions/open-close app drawer - then drag it to the desired position
