AC Charger Problem

I'm having problems with my AC Charger. Phone charges overnight and drains power from the phone. When I check the phone there's a message that tells me that I'm using an incompatible AC Charger and to only use authorized for my phone. Yet, the adapter I'm using is the htc OEM adapter that I've used for the last year. Any ideas? Thanks

Don't know it this will fix your problem, but you can get a new charger for under $10 at Amazon. I bought a couple of spares.
