Right now I am using droidmod and I am about to switch about to BB. I want to go back to stock, BUT I want to keep all my contacts. Also I have a few large nanadroid files on my droid and I would like to know if I could delete those or not.

    Any help would be awesome!

Contacts should be backed up to your Google account. Login and check before you do anything.

The Nandroid files are old backups, if you're OK with losing them, then you can delete them.

How do I back them up or check if they are backed up with my google account?

And would me deleting all of my Nandroid files be a problem?

Just login with a computer and see that your contacts are there. You can also export them to the SD card using the contacts menu.

You can delete all of the Nandroid backups if you dont want them, if I were you, I'd keep the first one you made....

Thanks for all the help! Just one more question. How do I export them to my SD card and how do I import them after I have finished rooting?

Also will deleting all my Nandroid backups except the first do anything to my phone?

You restore them the same way you imported them. I suspect you wont even have to do this, as it should pull them down as soon as you setup an account on the phone.

Nandroid backups are just that, backups. If you delete them, you wont be able to restore to them, but unless you're performing a Nandroid restore, they're inactive and unused files.

And I guess I would have to download all my apps all over again?

Not if you back them up with ASTRO or Titanium

One more question. Is it possible to delete ALL my contacts at one time? If so, how?

I'd use Google on a PC to do that.... Might I ask why?

I just installed the rom and I have my old contacts from google on my phone(a lot of random contacts, etc).

On the contact list I saved I made all my contacts have first and last names and I don't want to go through the trouble of doing that again to all my contacts.

Your contacts in your phone are your contacts in Google. Log into your gmail account, and click on "Contacts" of the left side of your screen. You can edit your contacts via your PC, and the next time your phone syncs, they will be automatically transferred to your phone.

But I am guessing it doesn't delete the ones I don't want that are already in my phone?

The ones in Google and the ones in your phone are one and the same. That is the reason for having a "cloud phone" like the Droid. You could destroy your droid right now, walk into a verizon, get a new droid and by logging into your google account, all of your contacts, emails, paid apps, etc will be restored before you leave the store, all you will need to do is log into your Google account on your phone.
