We continue with our top stories of 2016 by discussing the stories that got us out of the cold into the Spring.

We started the month of April expecting to see a mid-ranged android device by Nokia (Nokia A1 Android Mid-Range Device Image and Some Details Leaked [Rumor])

We also got a look at the Zenfone 3 thanks to some leaks (Asus ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe Images Leaked)

April Fool's day was also the day people could finally get their hands on a G5 (LG G5 is Now Available Across the US) and people was waiting for a way to get back the app drawer that LG felt people did not need (LG'S New Home 4.0 Launcher Adds Back The App Drawer On The LG G5).

The nexus 6p gave Huawei the confidence it needed to launch more US flagship devices (Huawei Officially Unveils P9 & P9 Plus; Plans to Sell Flagship Devices in US this Year (not the P9)).

BYOD meant more money for the big 2 as VZW and ATT hiked up fees for customers who wanted to bring their own phone(s) to the carriers (AT&T Joins Verizon in Fee-Jolly Land with Increased Activation Fees for BYOD & NEXT).

We got our first rumor about the Note 6 (later termed 7) and it having an iris scanner and being ip68 rated (Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Rumor: IP68 Water Resistance & Iris Scanner).

Early polls (Early Android Super Poll: Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, LG G5 or HTC 10) predicted the S7 edge would be the best smartphone over the HTC 10, G5, and S7 and it appears you guys ended up being right.

Huawei files a trademark for the Nexus 7P and the debate begins on who will be the maker of the next nexus device (Huawei Files Trademark for a Nexus 7P - What do you folks think it will be?).

Leaked specs surfaced for the Note 6....hmmm were they right? (Note 6 Specs Leaked In Early BenchMark Tests!)

Amazon Prime Video was finally made a monthly service to try and compete with Netflix (Amazon Prime Video Is Now Available As A Stand-alone Monthly Service).

Sony becomes the manufacturer of the tinkerer as they released the android n dev preview for users to try (Sony Releases Android N Developer Preview for Specific Xperia Z3 Models).

T-Mobile Note 5 and S6 edge gets marshmallow and yet still no word from ATT and I made that known (Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ Finally Receive Marshmallow On T-Mobile).

Motorola/Lenovo catches heat for how they responded to warranty claims (Motorola Admits To Warranty Delay Problems; Apologizes and Vows to Find a Solution).

Well at least ATT updated the V10 to marshmallow (LG V10 on AT&T is Now Getting Marshmallow).

HTC believes VR will be the future and bets big on it (HTC Bets Big on Virtual Reality; Believes VR will Outpace Smartphones in 4 Years).

More bendable prototype displays (Bendable Graphene Display Prototype Smartphone Shows Off in China).

My favorite article was the fact that Google would namedrop those slackers that did a poor job of updating their phones (http://www.droidforums.net/threads/...-for-slow-to-update-android-vendors.289250/); sadly it looks as if Google caved on that idea.
