A little help please?

    I just rooted my Droid 1 and installed the ROM manager app. So tried to install the Shadow ROM from ROM manager it just gets stuck on the booting screen and just loops. I than have to take the battery out and restore a backup i made.

    Any help?

    wipe and do a fresh install should help

    By wipe do you mean restore to factory settings?

    Yep. And wipe cache.

    Thanks for the info! it worked

    And i take it the only way to get all of my apps back is to re download them all?

    you can download Titanium Backup from the market and backup all your apps then restore when you get your ROM of choice installed.

    Just make sure in preferences you go into the Compression menu and choose None. That way you won't have any issues restoring. Sometimes I have issues if I use any form of compression.

    New problem!!!

    I have a new problem i got Shadow ROM loaded and backed up installed the smoked glass theme everything was fine.

    But when i started to put widgets on the different screens i rebooted and all of them were gone You tube, digiclock etc...

    There isn't even an option to select the mas widgets anymore.

    I'm thinking of trying a different ROM but i love the smoked glass theme to much :icon_evil:

    Move your apps with widgets from the SD Card to Internal memory. Reboot.
