A fix for manual brightness (sholes.info) rom

    Seems people are reporting that it is causing some choppiness and lag.

    I am on Sholes.info 1.0

    Here is the sequence I did.

    adb shell
    su
    echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/als


    - Let the script run for about 10-15 seconds then Control C to stop it.

    My phone has been running for about 6 hours with no lag so far.

    I'll give it a try in about an hour when I get off work. I miss the ability to adjust my brightness. Thanks for the heads up and confirmation!

    so can i run that on stock 2.0.1 or does it only work for sholes 1.0 rom, i have the custom kernel but not a custom rom, just wondering

    I am not sure. The original post said it was for custom kernels so I think it would work.

    That worked (running 2.0.1 with 2.1 apps), Thanks!!! Does that also fix the problem with the four led buttons on bottom too?

    Sholes.info rom 1.1 is out and has the brightness fix included.
