I rename it to update.zip, restart the phone holding down x, select install>allow update.zip installation>install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated) only to run into the error message saying (bad) installation aborted.
I thought the file was corrupted, so I downloaded and tried again with the same outcome. I installed 1.2 ulow the same way last night. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Chevy, I would like some help if you have time. I'm new and know just eniugh to screw up my X pretty easy. Question is, which one of your kernels should OC the best for me. Droid X, 2.2 OTA,Launcher Pro plus, BlackGlassDeoDex theme, rooted. Tried to install ; a 1.25-v32Kernel, but SetCPU will not give me a choice over the normal 1gHz top speed.Bootstrap said it installed correctly ect. But no overclock.?? Best Linpack score is 13.94 @a little over 6 seconds, Gears for Android score is 60-61 fps, best Quadrant score was 1427, most times around 1350s. Also, if I run your kernal, is my standard ROM and BlackGlass Deodex theme ok, or recomend to change to what? Thanx for your time.

You can't currently run a custom kernel on an X. Also, even if you could, these are designed for the Droid 1.

OK,thank you for the quick reply. I guess I'll have to wait until someone makes it possible for the X. Have a great day.

    Thanks. :)

Actually, the hackers working on cracking the bootloader are declaring about 85% completeness, so hopefully you won't have to wait much longer.

Do you think you could ever make your kernals support memory swapping. Your kernals are my favorite but this is stopping me from using them, i think it would be a great addition to your already amazing kernals.

I am getting a 500 Internal Server Error with this link.

Luckily I have a 1.1 LV copy saved on my computer. But, I just wanted to let someone know.

I'm pretty sure Chevy pulled the kernels down, which is a shame since the new ones don't work for a LOT of people the old ones did.

I saved a copy on my phone (and therefore also on the backup partition on one of my computers) in case I needed to reinstall. It's the 1.1GHz-ulowV-7slot version. If you're in dire need I can send it.

I already have that one, unless I deleted it. :)

If I have and I want to see how well it runs on my current ROM I'll PM you. Thanks! That's a big help!
