Great ROM, ChevyNo1. My Droid is fantastic. I may just leave the x alone so I can enjoy Simply Stunning until the boot loader is cracked on the x.

Up until today I've never flashed any rom except for BB. WOW, simply stunning is an understatement.

No go. I did the fix properties, allowed the reboot. Same error. For the heck of it I REdid the fix properties, allowed another reboot, same error. It's pasted below.

SUGGESTION #1: Have bkapps/rstapps also copy /etc/hosts so adfree works from the getgo

SUGGESTION #2: Have bkapps/rstapps restore the Superuser allowed application list.

FYI even tho I don't believe in it, I did wipe all three partitions _twice_.

    Stuff below.

OK - now run this from terminal:

    busybox rm -r /data/data/*tether*

If it does NOT complain, there was data hanging around. Try to install the apk again. If it says 'No such file or directory' ... then it's still something else. Let's try this first.

#1 - adblock is automatically enabled on a fresh install of my ROM - not sure why it's not enabled for you.

#2 - I was doing that, but so many people complained about the superuser app crashing, I took it out of the backup ... I'll look into it again.

On the 3x wipe - I agree with you, except ONE TIME I was stuck, and the ONLY thing that cleared it up was a second wipe. Doesn't make sense to me, but it worked!

That did the trick... full log below! Thank you :) (I took my lunch hour for this... but it only took 24 minutes including a full bkapps and a nandroid backup :)

I don't know except I was seeing ads. So I use adfree, which writes entries to /etc/hosts (diverting ad-serving sites to localhost). This file is not transferred across bkapps/rstapps.

    I hear ya!

I have yet to get the sapphire source to build cleanly, so have not been working with the code. I suspect the "format" isn't checking the status properly and for reason (perhaps delayed writes from the previous format) are preventing it from "really" doing so the first time.

    Again, much thanks!

Because you restored EVERYTHING, including desktop settings and Google
accounts, you will need to restart your system for those changes to take
effect. In addition, there is no guarantee the apps you have restored
will work until rebooting. Type rb to reboot now.

    WOOT, glad it's working!

As far as adblock - I also place a hosts file, but in /system/etc ... and it blocks for me, I don't get ads. Also, I keep the file updated from xda whenever new hosts are added.

The manual cleanup activity you had to perform is now handled in rstapps, version 4.7 and forwards ...

    question about SS4.7

What is the difference between droid 2 multitouch keyboard from the original keyboard in the motorola 1, I have tried different keyboards and I endup coming back to the stock keyboard, because I need to text in english and spanish, the default keyboard can use english and spanish with the swap of a finger, really convinient for me, does this droid 2 multitouch has that ability?

First off, I'd like to say that this is a pretty awesome rom....

But now, here I go with my few issues....

I flashed right over Cyanogen, like Chevy said, and it worked fine... but these are my few problems and I'm wondering if there's a fix for them:

    1. Home Screen Redraw - ALLLLLLL the time. Wondering if this a product of A2SD.
    2. A2SD Problems - All the apps and widgets I want to be on the SD card are. And they run from the SD card. But sometimes when I Mount my SD card for Mass Storage (via USB) or I reboot my phone, it will reload all my apps, but it won't reload my widgets. It says PROBLEM LOADING WIDGET all over my home screens. When I go into the Widgets menu to add widgets to my desktop, the ones on my SD card don't show up. And also, I just restarted my phone earlier because I think my cellular radio needed reset because I wasn't receiving texts, and my Lock Pattern had disappeared and it was the stock SLIDE TO UNLOCK screen. NOT GOOD FOR SECURITY!!!!

Those are my few issues. Any fixes? Thanks!

sorry Chevy had to use nandroid and go back to the older 2.2 kangerade i had for now. just too much lag going on in the new release. seemed like everytime I went back to the home screen Launcher pro plus would take forever to load back up. Take a picture with stock camera and would lock up for 30-45 seconds then camera would FC. Ill try again once 4.7 is out. Thanks for the hard work!

Ummm, 4.7 is out. Try the ADW launcher, heard lots having those same issues with LP and switched over and no more problems.
