$750 w/o Contract!?!

Do you really think that's what they'll charge?!?! That's preposterous! $600 sure, but $750? Wow... making me rethink buying the TB. I've been all about it until finding this out. (I'm not eligible for any kind of contracted upgrade until like June 2012).

Add a line, get it for $250 or wait till VZW releases it and get it on a 1 yr contract for probably $329 (thats if BB doesnt offer a 1 yr contract, which is what it looks like)

That sucks. I cant wait to get this phone. Ill sell my rooted D1 for $100-150 and put that money towards the TB. Yeah $700+ is nuts

eBay has an "instant sale" thing on smartphones now. They'll give me $180 for my DINC. I guess I could buy the TB, and make up for the extra $150 I wasn't initially expecting to pay by selling my DINC.

I don't understand why every one is complaining so much about the price. It's the same price as the 32gb iphone but the thunderbolt is a much, much, much, better phone! Sure it cost more then the x or d2g but you get more.

I'd never buy a 32GB iPhone, if I were buying one outright 16GB would be fine. I don't require that much storage anyway. I'd be fine paying $600, that's what I was expecting to pay, thats what the EVO costs, but $750 was kind of shocking to me, awesome as the phone will be aside.

If you don't need that much storage maybe you could sell the sd card on ebay. It should be worth at least $50

I think the off contract price is hight but not outrageous for what you are getting. I'm going to buy mine on contract so it will only be $250 for me. dancedroid

I'm not going to sell the SD card. I'll probably end up buying it regardless, but I still think the price is high. The whole point of me wanting to get it right away is to get grandfathered in with unlim 4G for $30/month

The $750 price is how much it costs at Best Buy. We don't yet know the price of the phone from Verizon. Best Buy's full retail prices are always higher than Verizon's prices.

It's very likely the phone will cost < $700 straight from Verizon.

Unless I missed some information.

I'm buying mine straight out, not due for an upgrade till August. I'm not the type who needs the latest and greatest, wife messed up at x-mass thinking we were not getting each other stuff. So she is really pushing me a little to get it to make up for x-mass (I'm not pushing back...lol).

It's true that Best Buy is almost always higher than Verizon on phones but they have a 30 price match. So I will pay there price and then if it is lower from Verizon I will go back to Best Buy and be refunded the difference.

Has this release date been confirmed yet? Or is it just another rumor? I talked to a Verizon rep a few days back, and she said everyone at Verizon just got trained on it over the past week, so that tells me the release has to be coming up.

Nothing is for sure, but it's a pretty safe bet its going to be the 24th.
