.607 and root?

I have a friend who is having troubles with the one click root for d3 and .607. He says it runs and completes and the program says he is rooted, but when he goes to install titanium backup or a screen shot app, it says that he needs to be rooted to install the apps.....

any suggestions or ideas as to what he's doing wrong?

all he needs is to reboot the phone da will fix it.
