4g radio is a hog

getting 7-10hr on extended battery. 4-5hr on standard. 4g with 2-3 bars
swtiched to only 3g service 10hrs and 50% on extended battery
guess u need the juice to get the speeds. :-(

those numbers seem awfully low to me.
I'm in a strong 4G area and my extended battery is lasting 36 hours easily.

You might have some apps running in the background that are constantly polling data, such as SKYPE.

just make sure you have any apps turned off that you're not using that poll data... again, SKYPE is the best example of a true battery hog on the Bionic

I haven't tested w 3g cuz I refuse too lol... 3g at work is horrible but I get blazing 4g and lasted over 8hrs friday on extended... standard was about 5... im happy w that

In the short time that I've had my Bionic, it seems that it is the switching from 4G to 3G and back and forth that is the battery hog. I think searching for 4G when it is not available may be the culprit?? Just my guess. YMMV!!
