Verizon currently does not have a phone that is capable of 4G. Current phones will not be able to use the 4G system.

The LTE phones will be out in February '11 which will do 4G/3G/1X but the current models lack the hardware that LTE requires.

No. Its a different SIM for LTE and the current phones' hardware isn't compatible.
