You don't need a new ROM to Overclock

Just an FYI, you can root and overclock with SetCPU and Milestone Overclock and it makes a big difference without having to install custom ROM's.

If you root follow MotoCache1's root regaurdless of os tread. Check out the Droid lab section here at Droid fourms as it has alot good info.

The one click roots do not work on the latest android os, froyo 2.2

Yes they do.

I used Soup or Root 2.06 Beta from my D1 froyo FRG83D.

This summer a very powerful android phone will be announced to combat the iPhone 5, no doubt about it!!! I'm thinking quad core

oh, we're a long ways off from quad core. we may see some in tablets before years end, but not phones - they're just not ready.
