Droid RAZR/Maxx users can breathe a sigh of relief. The fastboot files for the Droid RAZR (4.0.4 build 6.7.2-180) have been released and are available to download today. Now you can safely flash away to your hearts content and not have to worry about bricking your device. Simply open up RSD Lite and flash the file. So hit the DOWNLOAD LINK, and keep the file tucked away in a safe place just in case of emergency. Remember the build/file you want to download is 6.7.2-180 (4.0.4)

Having these files just allows you to use a computer to flash your device back to a stock (factory) state.

Prior to this fastboot release, you had to flash back to older versions and then either flash or OTA to the current version. Now, you can flash this version directly (using RSD Lite) and essentially recover from virtually any failed install. In other words, it's a new line in the sand...a new starting point, or in simplest terms...a good thing!
