    why want droid play 3gpp movie files

    it was sent from a crackberry

    nevermind, all i did was rename it under root explorer to wmv file..played

    Actually that's pretty interesting. I wouldn't have known what to do with a file like that, nice job.

    although, that sparks the question, why isnt the codec in there if it is just WMV?

    Maybe the person who sent the file changed the extension before sending it? I can't recall ever seeing a 3gpp file.

    no..my wife sent it..it was a forward mms message..came from a blkbrystorm

    i came from a berry on sprint. the berries all record in 3gpp (which is the same as 3gp, what most lower end phones record in) just wish the video player would play it. it would make watching things online and from friends much easier

    ok decided to try download crutch lite which was a txt file...changed to apk file..
    its was going to install..

    Is this common practice having to change the name for a file to work?
