3D buildings in Google Maps?

I just got the latest update for google maps and in the market, it shows a picture of the 3D buildings feature.

How do I get the 3D feature on my google maps? everytime i go on it it looks the same as it was before, with just a birds-eye-view of everything despite zooming in as much as possible.

Not all the areas have a 3D view. The ones that do will only show when you are zoomed in to a certain point.

I think right now only a few major cities have the 3d buildings.

check out Detroit, Orlando, or New York City...i know for a fact all those have the 3d view.

once you zoom in enough, use 2 fingers to drag down on the screen and the maps will tilt to reveal the 3d buildings. then rotate the map by spinning on finger around a stationary one (hard to describe)
