i have a droid x running the leaked 2.2 froyo, and wanted to downgrade it to 2.1 because i wanted to download the official update.

I went online and saw like 10 guides on how to do it using RDSLite.
I did everything just as they said, admin privileged, bootloader, i have the USB drivers, RDSLite, The RDS .ini file patch.

I am running on a laptop running windows 7 32-bit

I get to 99% on the flash and when it turns to swap to BP usb mode or w/e it hits 100% and quickly fails, (0x7066)

I pull the battery after it fails and when i put it back in it goes straight to the bootloader and says the Code is corrupt.

I REALLY need help here guys! :( :(

YESSS!!! It finally completely passed through Bp swap and finished. It must have been a out of date rdslite because i downloaded a newer one and it works. Thanks for the fast responses!

Quite. :) Don't try this with the OTA update. The signing keys got changed and if you try it you'll really mess up your phone. And if you ever have to do something like this again remember that the first boot will take some time. Your phone has a lot of work to do rebuilding all the data it needs to boot. :)

Thanks for the advice, if the OTA 2.2 or 2.3 update have as much fluff as the leaked 2.2 i think im just gonna stick with 2.1 for now. i hated how skype and amazon and etc. would pop up randomly.
