2.1 update end of april

Well the moto guys are getting their update thursday, looks like we are probably getting ours end of april: Official HTC Hero Android 2.1 ROM Update Coming In April 2010

Update at the end of April? First it was January, then the end of February, then the announcement a couple of weeks ago, now...at the end of April? Honestly the whole thing is getting absurd. Just give us the update HTC and Verizon, or stop yanking our chains!

that is for the sprint's htc hero. just becuase the hero and the eris are similar phones doesn't mean that their providers will treat their customer the same exact way. who knows why the htc hero has to wait until the end of april. they did say the update is OTA. what if they need more time setting up distribution servers? what if the slight differences in the hero are causing the its update to take longer than the eris?

there are many factors that come into play.

and remember the motorola droid is getting updated beginning tomorrow. this news will definitely set off more rumors about the eris update.
