Im trying to see if I can "install" it, w/o it installing, just like the post says in the hacking section. (people arent answering my questions!)
I have the latest cyan rom.
    Clockwork recovery.
I wanna know if the rom will block the update from actually installing.
My battery life isnt doing so well.
    Thanks

i am assuming clockwork works like sprecovery here, and if so you can let it install and your recovery will fail it. Then you're done with it.

They have an option in ROM manager (assuming you have it) to go back to stock 2.1, rooted or better yet you could go back to 2.0.1 from there as well then just get the OTA update from Verizon:)

Hah I can't read :p, Isn't cyanogen supposed to take care of that, I'm using UD 9.8 and my phone has never installed 2.1 maybe because the ROM has a 2.1 core, I dont know LOL

Theres a thread in the "hacks" sections about allowing the update, but its automatically blocked anyways. But it TRIES installing in the background, draining your battery....
    Check it out!
