2.1 fix?

    ok, so i've been reading these threads like mad in trying to find a fix for my slow droid now since the 2.1 update. the only thing i have found that might be worth a shot is the factory reset. has this been proven to work? also, if i were to do, i just want to make sure i'm doing this right...back up with BACK UP PRO...take out SD Card...do the factory reset...install SD card, restore BACK UP PRO and hopefully thats it?
