My wife has the Droid X and I have the Razr. The 12V car chargers don't work for either phone in either of our cars. We even bought a second one for my wife.:icon_evil: I have checked the car outlets with other devices and they are working. Is this a common problem and is there a fix?

I haven't had any issue using a 12volt charger and a 12volt 2 socket adapter my fascinate, it works with multiple mini-usb phones too.
Have you checked the cable to make sure it isn't just the way it's in the phone? The way they charge phones with the mini usb cable is stupid and it's liable to bend and move making a horrible connection.
I have 3 cables and 2 of the wiggle, but the 3rd one actually came from my xbox 360's blue tooth headset and holds firm in the mini USB port. The others have to be at just the right angle to work. I would check the cables you're using to make sure they're making a good connection before you write off the whole charging assembly.
