note 7 recall rebate

    I'm a bit baffled by a 69.12 rebate check I just got from Verizon with memo Galaxy Note 7 recall. Is this in lieu of the $100 we were supposed to get as bill credit when it got returned? Taxes withheld? Anyone know anything?
