I think you can do wireless using wireless tether for root users. But I don't believe the hardware will allow wired tether.
I store all my apps on internal storage. Works fine. Everything else stays on the card.

Are you guys using ADW launcher? The google search widget that comes with that will only work for ADW.
Is there an app that writes all messages to SD Card storage automatically?
Do you delete them after a while or do you just let them build up? Does it effect performance?

I've noticed this too. I haven't paired a bluetooth and tried it though.. I know that if you just hit it it just sits there.

Titanium backup also backs up data along with apps. So you will have all the settings in apps and progress in games.
