GPS works fine for me. I've had zero issues. I installed right over 3.1 though, no wipe.
Although wifi tether won't work....

I had the same thing. Had to restore back to my previous set up since I rely on my phone for work. Would like to sort it out though and go back.
Try it with no juice defender at all. No task killer. Install Watchdog and see if there is any process that is going crazy.

Install GPS Status from the market, then: Menu -> Tools -> Manage AGPS -> Reset Menu -> Tools -> Manage AGPS -> Download
