I've never had this happen (knock on wood) but I have heard of it happening to people. It doesn't seem to happen more than 2 or 3 times to people...
I think he just wants a hard lock/ unlock button. As in hit button "x" and it locks then hit button "x" again and it unlocks without a pattern...
