A budget friendly mid-range version of the LG G3 just came to Sprint and AT&T. It's called the LG G3 Vigor, and for now we only have pricing details from Sprint. On the Now Network the G3 Vigor will cost $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $12.50, or you can get it off contract for just $299.

Sprint will have it available on September 19th. Here are the specs:
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat
  • 5-inch 720p IPS LCD display
  • 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 8 GB of internal storage
  • 8 MP rear-facing camera
  • 1.3 MP front-facing camera
  • 2540 mAh battery
Obviously they aren't top-notch by any stretch, but for the price, this isn't too shabby. We don't know any other details from AT&T, but they should be along any day now.

Verizon's new Advanced Calling 1.0 service just activated network wide today. This service will provide VoLTE HD Voice and Video calling. While the new service is available across the country, only a limited number of devices are currently compatible with the technology.

Right now the only phones listed to work with it are the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the LG G3. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are expected to join that list shortly, and Verizon is working to add more. Technically, any device which supports VoLTE should be able to use the service, but certain settings and tweaks are required to get it going.

This news is so strange we have a hard time swallowing it here at DF HQ, but it's also so hot, we just had to report it, in case it's true. Supposedly, Motorola won't be the only manufacturer to release a Nexus smartphone this year. According to this report, Motorola, LG and even HTC could all be offering Nexus devices. The picture above is supposedly the leaked press image of this HTC Nexus phone.

This report also suggested a different possibility though. That is that the Motorola device will not be the Nexus 6, but the HTC device will. Instead, the devices from Motorola and LG could be the rumored Android Silver devices. We can envision a Motorola Nexus X, an HTC Nexus 6 and the return of the LG Nexus 5.

Either way, whether Nexus or Android Silver, it appears that all three manufacturers will have something on hand and the big reveal will be between October 7th-October 9th. This meshes nicely with the October 8th Google Android L announcement rumor we...

The 32GB LTE Version of the NVIDIA Shield tablet is almost ready to hit the streets. The company just put it up for pre-order for $399.99. That's only $100 more than the not LTE-version. The pre-order for this one will ship on September 30th.

This version is certified for AT&T's network in the US, but it is unlocked so it should work on any GSM LTE networks. It's specifically compatible with LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 17 and HSPA+ Bands 1, 2, 4, and 5 in North America, and LTE Bands 1, 3, 7, 20, and HSPA+ Bands 1, 2, 5, and 8 outside of North America.

Just as we shared yesterday from Motorola's blog, the AT&T version of the Moto X is available for pre-order on AT&T's website. You can nab the hot new Motorola super-phone for only $99.99 on a new contract.

Alternatively you can get the device for $526.99 off contract through AT&T. That's a bit more than the $499.99 that Motorola will be asking for their Pure Edition unlocked and carrier free version of the device (which should be available on the Moto Maker website at 12PM EST today). AT&T also has another option as well in which you can make 20 or 24 monthly installments of $26 or $22 respectively.

Keep in mind that AT&T is only offering pre-made versions of the new Moto X on their website, so if you want customized versions you will need to wait for the phone to show up on the Moto Maker website. AT&T has the Black Resin version, the Bamboo version, and the Black Leather version for now. AT&T claims their new Moto X will ship on September 23rd.

If you love music you will love the Billy App. Most of us have a few specific ways we find all of our new music. Some of us discover new music by checking out related content on a youtube video we have searched, we listen to the radio and find what is fed to us by the media, and some of you check out the billboard charts. There are charts for every genera and sub genera. It can be quite a difficult to really discover a song you love just by checking out a list and reading an artist and song name.

With Billy you can not only check out the Billboard lists, you can also sample each song. This makes discovering new favorite artists and...

The Pie Laucher was a crazy huge and innovative feature that launched Paranoid Android nearly to the top of the best Roms list. Paranoid Android came out with many other innovative features, but none that were kanged to the extent that Pie Launcher was. Google even came out and said they had a patent for this type of launcher not to long after Pie Launcher was released. Many from the Rom community love the Pie Launcher and use it regularly. It has now been incorporated into the Chrome browser.

ChromePie is and Xposed Framework Module that will overlay pie controls over your chrome browser. This means you can easily navigate the browser with large...

Yesterday we posted a video tutorial of a method to speed up your GPS. This works by allowing you to point your device to local GPS servers. It requires a bit of know how and you will need to be rooted so that you can moddify /system settings. Knowing how to modify your device manually is good. Not only do you learn methods of achieving what you want on your device, but you also learn exactly what you are doing to your device.

[IMG] [IMG]

There is a much faster and easier way. You can actually achieve faster GPS using an application. This application will allow you to chose a local server for your GPS. You will need to be rooted, but you won't need to make any system modifications. Head to the link below for the download.

http://forumfoundrycdn.com/dgstorm/df2014/verizon-limited-upgrade-op-2014.jpg

Verizon Wireless has a shocker of a deal for some of its customers, although it's not something they are likely to advertise too heavily. This awesome "secret" deal is that starting today, any Verizon customers who are eligible for an upgrade on or before November 15th, 2014 are eligible for that upgrade immediately, for any device!

This special upgrade opportunity is only going to be around for a limited time, so be sure to jump on it quick. It's surprising to see Big Red basically give their customers 2 free months out of their contract, but it's probably a brilliant marketing strategy considering the timing.
