When the Play Station 4 was released it was also announced that there would be a remote play feature which would allow you to play your Play Station 4 remotely from your Xperia Z3. A Sony representative had also said that Sony did not plan to bring this feature to any other device. No worries the dev community has come through again. Developer "XperiaPlaystation" has ported Remote play to all android devices. To make this work you will need to flash a particular zip file and install a certain apk. Your device must be running Android 4.0 or better. You will need to have a custom recovery installed like Clock Work Mod recovery. Head to the link below for the downloads.

As Android devices continue to grow in screen size as well as performance we are using them in more productive ways. The same activities that we may have preformed previously on laptops and tablets we are now finding ourselves doing on smartphones. The Galaxy Note with the Multi Window is a perfect example of this. You can watch a video while sending an email, or surf the web while texting. There are several applications that will allow you to multitask in this way.

C Floating is one of the latest multitasking/multiwindow apps. This app brings you a unique multitasking experience. You can float any app on top of any app, add any 3rd party widget, perform actions quickly, and monitor system information efficiently. Other features include floating shortcuts, floating recent apps, floating widgets, floating block screen, floating tables...

Now that we have an unlocked bootloader on the Verizon Moto X this device is pretty much a Dev unit for all intents and purposes. That being said all dev recoveries and roms should work just fine once the bootloader is unlocked! The developer edition of the Verizon Moto X has has a pretty substantial development community and anyone with a Verizon variant that has currently unlocked their bootloader with Sunshine will now be able to benefit from this. Check out recoveries and roms below.

TWRP Recovery...

The only downside to unlocking the bootloader of your Moto X is the fact that the process automatically changes your bootscreen to a nasty, ugly looking image stating that your bootloader is unlocked and your warranty is void. You can actually change this image pretty easily. This does require that you run a few commands via adb so you should be pretty comfortable with that. You will need to have both fastboot and adb files in the same folder as your new boot image. Then you will need to open up a command prompt from within that file and type "fastboot flash logo (logofile).bin". Head to the link below to download the new bootlogo's....

Justin Case and The Root Ninja team have finally added official support for the Moto X. This means you can finally unlock the bootloader of your Verizon and AT&T bootloader. This will work on devices with 4.4.3 and lower as well as some 4.4.4 devices. There was also support added for other Motorola devices like Moto G, Motorola Droid Maxx, Ultra, and Mini. The Sunshine bootloader method can be used by anyone. It is essentially an app that does all the work for you. You just download the app, pay the one time license fee of $25 then proceed to unlock your bootloader! Sunshine also no longer needs root, it will actually gain root access...

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. LG just announced a new device for Asian markets. It's called the Wine Smart, and despite being potentially curious about the etymology of the devices name, the most curious thing about it is not that. It's actually an Android flip-phone. Yep... that harkens back to the bygone days of the early 2000's.

As you would expect, it's internal specs are not what you would call, cutting edge, but it should get the job done for its intended market.
  • 1.2GHz processor
  • 8-megapixel camera
  • 3.5-inch, 480 x 320
Perhaps if a company would try a bit harder with better hardware, then something like this could go mainstream... What do you think?

For weeks we have been finding rumors detailing the upcoming partnership between HTC and Google on a Nexus-style tablet of some kind. For the most part, the general consensus is that the Nexus 9 tablet will be manufactured by HTC using NVIDIA internal hardware.

The newest report comes directly from the Wall Street Journal and seems to be solid confirmation of these rumors. According tot the WSJ,

The WSJ report indicates that the two companies are developing a Nexus tablet together. From the way the report reads, it seems as if Google is striving to help strengthen HTC in the Android marketplace.

It's no secret that HTC has...

If you take this news as a whole, it's not nearly as bad as it sounds at first. Verizon's version of the new Moto X will not have simultaneous voice & data when it launches. Apparently, it will be the first Android device which will need Big Red’s new Advanced Calling 1.0 feature in order to enable simultaneous voice and data.

Even though it won't have this functionality immediately out of the box, according to the leaked internal Verizon memo, the company plans an update later this fall which will bring the Advanced calling 1.0 to the device, thus enabling simultaneous voice and data as well as VoLTE (Voice over LTE). Here's a quote with a few more details,

Supposedly, the reason VZW is handling it this way is because they plan to move away from their...

Had the Moto 360 for almost a week and came across a few questions on the forums that I hope to address.

  1. Battery Life: As much as battery life is catching flack it really is not that bad. I can get through a full working day easily and it recharges in less than a hour.
  2. Display: There are a few trade offs here in the display is no where near as beautiful as the AMOLED display on the Samsung watches, but unlike AMOLED displays you can see the Moto 360 in direct sunlight. I do not want to have to cover my watch just to tell what time it is so for me the display on the Moto 360 is functional. The trade off is that you will see some pixelation but again on a display that small I am not looking to watch a movie I am just wanting to be able to view the watch face and the incoming messages.
  3. Display on while charging: If you are concerned about possible burn in or you do not want the display on all night go into settings, about, and keep touching the...
