      To be honest, I don't know enough to really hack the droid without it becoming a brick, so I don't try. Most of what I post is basically on the user level understanding and also just trying to help people understand some of the things I understand and maybe tweak the Droid within user level abilities to get the most out of it. Of course, results will vary due to people's usage and tastes.

      I used ATK and Taskiller cause I know for a fact I don't know which one for sure is working beyond the annoying little message from ATK's most recent build that tells me "x memory freed". Taskiller was recommended by others, but I don't have it setup to do auto kill, I use it a little more for the 'instant kill' type Task killing since it is faster.

      I don't list the other apps, cause most of those are default and you can't get rid of them, I also set up ATK mostly to kill those that I believe shouldn't be running in the background, although in the case of Calendar, I left alone, but browser, I kill cause it doesn't need to run if I am not doing anything, same with camera, voice dialer and the like simply because it does nothing for me.
