The new tagline: "Make every minute count."

Is it better than previous, what was it..."Be together but not the same", or something like that?

I agree that the new tag is better for AW. Wasn't that be together campaign about Android in general though? I know they pushed it with the watches, but I thought it was a dig at the Apple ecosystem in general vs the options that Android provides in devices.

Yeah. Idk that branding is the issue with AW, but I like it.

Now that I stop & think about it, idk that I like the Wear OS name. Feels too Apple-y to me.

not sure if that is the case. most operating systems are named that way whether it be for other watches os, computers or whatever. when it was called android wear, it sounded more like a device not an operating system.

Google has made it pretty clear the rename is to make it clear for iPhone users that the Android watch OS is compatible with iPhones.

According to some recent news articles it sounds like Google has released a new developer preview of Wear OS (formerly Android Wear) and is looking to help maintain better battery life in future Wear OS versions. According to The Verge, some of those ways may include:

Most apps will no longer be allowed to run in the background unless the watch is on the charger (watch faces and complications currently chosen by the user can continue to run).
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular radios will automatically turn off when Wear OS detects that your device has been off your body for an extended amount of time.
The device will no longer automatically connect to Wi-Fi when disconnected from Bluetooth.

This is all still developer preview now, so no way of knowing when a new update will roll out to everyone with these new features; or even if these will make it into a final OS version. Now the question is, which watches will continue to receive new Wear OS version updates?

I'm willing to bet my Urbane won't see this update. I believe it wasn't on the list to see the name change. No reason to believe it'll get new features.

Same here, I'm thinking the Moto 360 2nd Gen is done with Android Wear / Wear OS updates. I can't even get my watch to accept and run the new app update that changed the app name. I'm gonna wear it until it's completely dead and non-operational. And then decide what newer watch is out there that I might like, if any at all. I might switch back to a traditional watch in the future.

I'm betting my original Huawei Watch won't either. And I prefer the wifi connecting automatically. Also, dosent those features disconnect automatically already when the watch in on a table?!

I'm not 100% sure. I think my Moto 360 would stay connected to WiFi at all times, whether on my wrist or off. I turned off WiFi on my watch long ago and that resolved several issues I was experiencing and has helped a lot with better battery life.

The original moto 360 battery life was horrible. I have issues with this one, even after a hour and a half of Bluetooth music listening through the watch on the gym. Everything is on and full brightness.
