Hey Gary,
So my buddy and I had some fun testing the global import tonight. I think you need to advertise this thing as as the Big Red Button, because MAN did it import bookmarks! With this feature addition, I think you've necessitated the need to allow multi-select and delete. ;-) An explanation of where Global Import is pulling from would probably be a good idea. Great work as always, though.
And a tidbit for everyone looking forward to a new look for xScope: work on the new UI theme is coming along nicely and should be unveiled in the near future. B-)

One thing I've found sort of quirky is the long press automatically opening new tabs. For example, if an image is a link but you want to download it, it seems impossible to do so in certain cases. When I try to download the Astronomy Picture of the Day to use as a background I have to first load the link, then download. Unfortunately the link goes to an image that is often many times larger and unnecessary for background purposes.
It would be great if the long press had a more standard action like opening a menu with "Open link in new tab", "Save link", "Save image", etc.

Gosh I hate "Me Too" posts, but in this case I'll make an exception; "Me too, me too"
Seriously though, that would be a great addition.

Ok, I'll me-too on the context menu pop-up.
Also to expand on the previous observation about global bookmark imports, I think it might be better to have the option to just import from Stock Browser bookmarks, since this is where most people will be migrating from.
Cheers,
Dave

don't know about others but on mine when I went to pull the global bookmarks it not only pulled the bookmarks but my default browsers ENTIRE HISTORY
... it imported at least 30 links that were histories and NOT bookmarks. FYI. great feature though, I understand there are bugs to be worked out and I have no plans to leave.
But PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get someone on the theme(ing).... I'm sick of people bashing this great app just because the looks are so sub-par.
You are right to be wary. There is much bullcrap. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong. Make up your own mind after you evaluate all the evidence and the logic. - Mark Rippetoe

Agreed. The bookmark import unfortunately pulled in history *and* please release a new theme.

In case you missed it on the other thread, let me confirm that I'm working with Gary designing a new theme. We have entered testing phase and hope to get it out as soon as possible. Along with the new theme, he's planning some enhanced user layout options. I'll let him provide the exact details on that; I know he had a busy weekend, so I don't think he's had a chance to catch up here yet.
For now, here's a preview of the theme we are developing. We're trying to achieve a delicately balanced look that will appeal to many users. Tab size has also been increased. Cheers

OMG thank goodness, looks good so far. I was wondering is skinning a possible feature or at least color changing, nothing major just askin. Great work!
