The .nomedia file way works, I placed it into every folder that had pictures on my SD card. One thing is the pictures still showed up in the background when opening the gallery before the FC, once I rebooted they were gone and my phone was fine. I just removed the .nomedia files from each folder, rebooted and the gallery opens fine.

I even tried loading Nemo again once I had the .nomedia in all folders and it worked, what seems to break it for me was CameraZoom.

Why is this nemo player so good? Does it replace the gallery? And once the nomedia files have been put in you can just delete them and it will work still?

Yes the Nemo app could replace your gallery. It loaded faster for me probably since you did not have a preview of each folder or 3d effects. It also incorporated music/videos.

You can delete the .nomedia files one by one until you find out which one causes the gallery to crash. I think you could just not use the gallery anymore and be fine, not sure if you could use BetterCut anymore though if you choose a picture from the gallery for an icon. For me I did have to reboot for the folders to disappear from the gallery when i added the .nomedia file and then once I removed that file i had to reboot to see the folders again in the gallery. I think my Gallery crashes because of the app CameraZoom that i use.

Yeah, placing a .nomedia file in all the folders that show up in gallery worked for me too.. went to gallery, no FC..deleted all the .nomedia files from the folders i wanted back in gallery and its back to normal.

Think someone can rip urfooz.apk from an acer liquid phone? It looks somewhat hilarious. I kind of want to mess with it for a few minutes.

Only thing I dislike about it is searching through artists you don't get to search through their albums after. Albums are only accessible if you search for albums. Oh well
