reboot and now all apps are gone and market won't reinstall

I did a reboot last night after changing some UD settings, changing font and removing the boot animation... when I was back up and running my phone no longer had any of the apps I had downloaded, and the market would get stuck in between downloading my apps and installing them. I fixed everything by flashing back to original 2.4 totally stock, and using titanium to replace my apps. My question is this...Did I do something wrong by rebooting?What can I do to keep this from happening again(it wasn't a huge pain, but)?

Yes that happened to me as well. Was having troble with sound. People couldn't understand my msgs. Verizon rebooted my phone. Told me this was the only way to correct problem. Said some mkt apps have virus and I would have to reload my apps. Problem is even if you scan your apps, you don't know which one causing problems.

usually when i apply something from ud settings, i'll only do one thing at a time, is it possible you made a ton of changes then rebooted?

also that market issue you had, if you just cancel one download and manually start it that'll usually restart em all downloading properly.

Thanks, I will only change one thing in my UD settings at a time...I tried and tried to cancel the download from the market and restart it, but it wouldn't work...I am just relieved I could fix it by putting UD 2.4 stock back on... Thank G*D for backups, and titanium!
