Do any of you use this feature? I do from time to time, when the internet at my house is running super slow (as is the case right now). Was wondering what kind of speed y'all see when you do tether. I'm only showing 11 Mbps. My wireless at home and at work usually run at 54 Mbps. Funny, though, the 11 Mbps is 10x's faster than the 54 at this moment!
Hmmm I use the Wifi Tether due to the lame o at&t dsl my house has. It works ok, you can even play on xbox live with it, but it is definately faster than dsl. Just make sure you set up your WPA security and password so no freeloaders kick down your bandwidth.:motdroidvert:
I use the built in 3G Hotspot app, with the NV hacks to avoid the outrageous tethering package price. Just did a quick speed test to see what I was getting, as it's always performed well, but I never really tested it before. It's good enough to stream live events on my PC, such as UFC PPVs or streaming movies. That "Distance" to the server is WAY off, as I live 40 minutes away from Memphis, TN, but my IP always shows as somewhere in Texas, for some reason.
