    updating software on a thunderbolt with no service plan.

    I have an HTC thunderbolt and I'm not currently with Verizon. I want to update the software but its not connected right now. I plan on getting the service turned back on when I can afford it but nut sure when. I was hoping someone could tell me how I could do update the software. Its stock and the current software it 2.2.1. Sorry if I left out any pertinent information, I'm new to forums so please excuse me if I don't know the proper etiquette or where to post. Thank you for any info you can help me with.

    Yes you can do it. All you need to do is to download 2.3 firmware update and make your flash card a boot device. it will take not more then 10 minutes

    I have no idea how to do that. Is there a specific site or somewhere I can get instructions. I don't know much about this stuff.
