The font of the Destroy skin is great and as you can see, it goes perfect with this icon set and background:



I think though that an option where the background is gone like the Naked skin but with that font would like amazing with the background and icons.

Since it is appropriate to be in this forum I was paste it here for others to know how "combine skins" in that way.

The skull background goes great with the Destroyer skin for BW and the iPhone 3G icon set. Looks amazing.

I would like that last one even more if the skin was naked but with the clock font.

That's easy. Download the Naked Droid skin(if you haven't already), then go to data/beautifulwidgets/skins/nakeddroid directory and copy the 6 files that have "backgroud" anywhere in the file name and then paste them in the data/beautifulwidgets/skins/destroy directory overwriting the existing files.

Be sure and refresh the widget ot better yet remove it from the home page and re-add it.

EDIT: IF you don't like the results delete the "Destroy" directory and then re-download the skin again.

To expand on this you can combine skin elements in this way, then rename the "skin" directory and "skin".txt file to the new name and it will show in your installed skins list :-) To use the above as an example rename both the "Destroy" directoy and Destroy.txt file in the directory to "Destroy2" and it will show up as an installed skin called Destroy2.

IF you plan to share this with others you should combine the authors names within the new "skin".text to be fair to all. You can also create a new 240x155 "skin".jpg (skin preview file) and if you add it to the skin directory and the data/beautifulwidgets/cache directory you wil have the new Preview show up with the skin in the installed skin screen.

Takes longer to type this than to actually do it (if you type as slow as I do).

I used the Apps Organizer along with Home++ for the other styles and the iPhone 3g Icon set to change the Apps Organizer Icons.

changing things and getting it to look "right" and "fit" is tough.

I really like the carbon tube background.

I guess im still looking for a proper number backer and a proper font.

Ill figure it out.

And i cant wait to do the leather and carbon fiber one....but then i have to figure out the right numbers and fill for that......jeesh

When skinning, can anything be changed with the AM/PM? And what about the weather stuff? I see nothing in the release notes about either so I am guessing at the moment those cannot be skinned. I am working on a unique skin and I think it will look pretty good. Just look better if the other stuff can be changed.
