Transparent apps...what's missing ?

ok so heres what you do decompile the app and get the error just like you have been. Then go to(should be this directory if not find it in the log.txt it will be there) C\users\*yourusername\apktool\framework\and you should see 1.apk. Open 1.apk with 7zip drag resources.arsc to desktop(you will need it in a minute) Open the framework form your rom using 7zip and drag the resources.arsc from there into 1.apk. ok now back out of everything. now go back to apkmanager command prompt and press spacebar or whatever to clear that error notification and decompile. That should work now to recompile the app you will need to put the original resources.arsc back in 1.apk if none of this makes sense tell me and i can hit u up on gtalk and help

unzip this, install through file manager. uninstall the one you have first of course. go into settings and set the theme to black. text yourself, look around in there and you will see what im talkin about

I just looked at your log and this should definitely work I dont see why it wouldnt it has for me different apps but same errors

whats your gtalk name pm it to me or something.... this is the directory on your pc C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\apktool\framework\1.apk

mikey.. if you are trying make it transparent, I would look in the layout folder at the conversation_list_somethingerother.xml change the background from android:background="@drawable/bar_top" to @android/transparent

that's my guess and i'm sticking to it.

AAAAWWWWWW!!! I decompiled handcent,made the edit, and it wont recomp! Im gonna freak out lol
*What is this 1.apk? Im seeing it in this error too. I dont quite follow the directory...

recompiled fine. however, when I started typing it out, i realized left out something.. eh.. kind of important. it's not "@android/transparent" its "@android:color/transparent" sorry man

I updated my androidsdk and now when I open the apk manager I get adb was not found, you will not be able to manipulate the files on your phone. Not a big dealI don't think since I never adb push/pull anyway but kind of annoying none the less. I tried changing my environmental variables but same thing. any idea?

The only update was to get version 8.
