I believe jatx has something up his sleeve as far as a fully transparent theme, but I am not 100% - I do know most of these have come as a direct result of something he is working on![]()

maybe tonight.... Tallica when you edit the apk you shouldnt really have to extract anything I dont think you can just right click on it and use 7zip to open as archive....after youve swapped the pngs just back out and it will ask to update archive say yes and you should be good to go. xkape if i get a chance i will look at FB tonight and see if i have any luck with it.

i kind of figured you would of known that.....Ive definitely done things that cause apps to show in sytem app but not actually on phone...dont know exactly how nor do I know an exact fix. If youd like you could post a zip of the images that youre trying to put in... or the apk that wont install and ill see if it does the same for me. Are you installing your edited one over my edited one...or your edited one over a stock one. This shouldnt really make a difference but i know I had a heck of a time with miui music app and the reason was i couldnt just install a themed miui music app i had to have the stock one in place then i could install my themed update.zip. just another thing to give a shot
The same happened to me with the GenieWidget.apk - It installed fine over my preexisting one, then I tried to modify the widget background to a transparent one, and the app would show in the system/app folder but not in the app drawer, even after I reflashed the .zip - I also tried deleting the app from the system/app folder and reflashing and pushing with terminal - both times, same results
How I solved it was I restored my backup, made my .apk changes and then flashed the .zip - worked great

He should definitely design this! That would be awesome.
Then maybe port it to the D2[/QUOTE]
Is there like a THEME.template for a D2 somewhere that i could look at or do you think my best bet would just be to dl a rom/or theme and start looking at that.
OK, just started messing with it again and got it working.
I had to Delete GenieWidget.apk from system, reboot, flashed a .zip installing A themed version of the GenieWidget.apk (from Urban, cause the one in the OP untouched by me was not working). So now GW is working. Then I flashed the one in the OP on top but 1st I just changed the 3 appwidget_bg.pngs and the 3 ic_menu.pngs, BINGO! I think it had something to do with changing the other files in there, I woul assume because you changed an xml to make the highlight transparent.....anyway great job all around.
Btw I 'm using everything in the OP except Email (I use Gmail only for the phone) and MMS (I use Handcent).
Can't wait for the rest!

Hmm. I can link you to a zip for the GummyJar zip, or you can just DL the latest Gummy rom for the D2, and then theme that, and then I can flash that....
Im on the version before gummy 2.5 so if you would have it already themed and whatnot, then I could flash it and be updated at the same time!
Let me know, I appreciate the help and kindness!!!!!![]()
