    i just lost all of my email accounts and what's worse i do NOT know the gmail password that was set up when i purchased the droid! i have been allover the gmail site and can't seem to get the password reset. never used gmail at all. what a mess...

    I'm experiencing this same issue. It's being discussed in the motorola and gadget forums as well. Google is the only entity that can address this software issue. I started a thread on their Android device help forum. Please post on my thread, other threads, or create your own to help bring this to their attention and get a fix going:

    lost email settings

    any fix for this yet. love the phone but don't have the time to keep reseting email.

    Use Touchdown or K9 from the market. The stock email app has many bugs besides this one.
