[Placeholder] Known Issues and Fixes

Hey guys,

as wished i will start a list of known Issues and how to fix them, or note if there
is no fix by now. As soon as i have some time left, i will fill this list!

@all: I will leave this thread open, so if you have a bug+fix, just post it down here, i will delete your post and get the content in this sticky. NO DISCUSSION here!!!
Please make sure that your bugs and fixes are confirmed either by others or by officials.

KNOWN ISSUES & Fixes:

Issue:
The phone is not getting any signal to cell towers, or any service.

Solution:
-Set the phone to Airplain mode by hitting the lock button and choose Airplaine mode
-Pull the battery (can be also done for 15 minutes to force the phone to reenter the wireless network)
-put battery it back in and boot up the phone in Airplaine mode again
-Switch back from Airplaine to normal mode

If this still is not working try switch through wifi, gps and synch to make the phone work aigain

Issue:
The memory of the phone drains or is low

Solution:
-go to Settings
-go to applications
-go to manage applications
-hit menue button
-select filter
-select ALL
-then sort by used space
-go to the first 5 programs that are on the toplist of used space....like email...browser...and so on, and clear the cache!

also uninstalling unused 3rd party apps helps

Issue: Physical Keyboard not lighting up

Solution:
-goto Settings
-goto Display/screen
-uncheck Auto-Brightness
If that doesnt work, adjust brightnes to higher or lower on the Power Control Widget.

Issue: The device is not connecting to my WiFi Network when i activate WiFi through the Power Control Widget

Solution:
-goto Settings
-goto Networks
-goto Wifi
You just have to navigate there, and your device should auto connect to the wifi network

Hi, I got this visual voice thing. But it was the wrong one. My sons works fine he uses another one and it does not cost anything and this one does. But it wont let me use his because of this one. But it wont let me delete this one. I can delete any other apps, But this one is not under apps. Do I have to turn it back into how I got it to make it go away, if so how do I do that?

Stock apps can only be deleted with root...is that your question?

Yes it is, thank you, I will have to ask my son how to do the root, I am an old man, all these toys I dont know yet, but if it like computer it shouldn't be that hard.
